My Art

Welcome to my collection of personal art! Most of my original drawings were abstract; some were doodles done during English class in high school. I eventually took classes in high school and college with some AMAZING professors and began to really consider it something that I will do for the rest of my life. Big thanks to my art teachers for getting me so excited about sitting in one spot for more than an hour!!

The art collection that I am pictured with (left) is NOT MINE, unfortunately. Arnold Bratislava, Slovakia 2019

In loving memory of my friend forever,
Sophia Boisa.
This Koala in black ink watercolor is dedicated to a forever friend of mine, Sophia Boisa. I met Sophia at a college gathering and she welcomed me into her life, like a warm, fuzzy Koala with open arms. Sophia has taught me so much about love and friendship. She has helped me understand how to treat women as well. I am so grateful to have had her in my life. She passed away in March 2021 and this is just one of the amazing memories I have of this welcoming woman.

Violin Collage of the art process. I used charcoal paired with eraser on white paper. A yard stick for the long lines! First I sketched a close-up of the violin. It involved meticulous attention to detail as I realized the relationship between each line and shadow. I next zoomed out, to better appreciate the light hitting the outer edge of the violin and the fine lines of the body. My last addition to the sketch involved the scroll of the violin, I loved the way the light hit the spiral in different ways and it sure made for a challenging piece!
